Job summary

Chelmsford Public Schools is seeking a part-time Food Service General Worker for the 2026-2027 school year district-wide. The role offers a flexible schedule with no nights or weekends and summers off, making it ideal for other commitments.

You will measure, prepare and serve food for breakfast, lunch and snacks, operate ovens, steam tables and mixers, and maintain clean work areas. Training and teamwork are emphasized to deliver safe, quality meals to faculty and students.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain portion control.
• Safety and sanitation awareness for handling food.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods according to recipes for breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
• Operate kitchen equipment and maintain sanitation.
• Serve meals to faculty and students and clean work areas.
• Setup stations with supplies and restock as needed.
• Attend training meetings and work as a team.
