Job summary

The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is hiring a part-time Field Enumerator. Earn $19.51 per hour, plus mileage, with a flexible schedule and the option to work from home.

You may travel to farms, handle crop counts, and maintain clear records of interviews and hours worked from your home-based setup. Ideal candidates will interview farmers and agricultural businesses, possess reliable transportation, and be comfortable using computers or iPads.

Qualifications

• Experience multitasking in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to positively represent NASDA and the benefits of enumerators.
• Ability to make crop counts in designated fields.
• Ability to maintain a reliable personal vehicle.
• Ability to conduct interviews in person or by telephone with farm operators and other individuals.

Responsibilities

• Interview farmers, ranchers, and agricultural businesses in person or by phone.
• Perform crop counts in designated fields.
• Maintain detailed and legible records of interviews, counts, mileage, expenditures, and hours worked.
• Travel to designated fields and work from a residence with an operable telephone.
