Job summary

Arbor Associates is seeking licensed Elementary Substitute Teachers for per diem and long-term contract placements at a Providence, RI public school. Substitutes will cover elementary classrooms across grade levels in a co-teaching model, serving 30–32 students with two teachers at times. Bilingual candidates and those with Special Education licensure are encouraged to apply. Arbor provides dedicated support and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Licensed Elementary Substitute Teachers (per diem and long-term) for Providence, RI.
• Bilingual candidates and those with Special Education licensure are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans left by the classroom teacher and deliver instruction appropriate to the grade level.
• Maintain a safe, structured classroom environment for 30–32 students.
• Collaborate with the co-teaching model and other teachers when present.
• Manage student behavior in line with school policies and expectations.
• Differentiate support for varied learner needs, including IEPs and ELLs.
• Document attendance and communicate classroom concerns to staff.
• Represent Arbor Associates professionally in the school community.
