Job summary

ASG Home Care in New Jersey is looking for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in homes and communities across the state.

You will provide one-on-one support, help with daily living activities, and promote independence according to each client's ISP. Experience is preferred but not required; CPR/First Aid may be required upon hire, and drivers are welcome.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Prior caregiving, DSP, or human services experience preferred but not required.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Compassionate, dependable, and motivated to make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized home and community‑based support to individuals with developmental disabilities
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation
• Encourage independence and community participation aligned with each client's ISP
• Document services accurately and communicate with the care team
• Build meaningful, consistent relationships with the individuals you support
