Job summary

ASG Home Care in New Jersey is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide hands-on support to individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings. You will work one-on-one following each person's ISP to promote independence and daily living skills.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, personal care, meal preparation, transportation, documenting services, and maintaining open communication with the care team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Prior caregiving experience appreciated but not required.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Compassionate, dependable, and motivated to make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized home and community-based support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation.
• Encourage independence and community participation aligned with each client's ISP.
• Document services accurately and communicate with the care team.
• Build meaningful, consistent relationships with the individuals you support.
