This flexible substitute role requires broad availability, with shifts including evenings, overnights, and weekends. Direct Support Professionals help individuals live independently, develop skills, and participate in community activities while maintaining attendance and meeting program needs.

Qualifications

• HS Graduate or equivalent required.
• Eligibility for Employment: pass initial criminal history check and 2-year rechecks; US work authorization; 18+; valid driving license and good driving record; ability to complete training.
• Knowledge, Education, and Experience: HS Graduate or equivalent.
• Skills: Effective Verbal and Written Communication; Technical Skills; Organizational & Time Management; Problem-Solving; Coping Skills; Relational Skills and Teamwork; Professionalism; Change & Project Management
• Abilities: Read/write English; basic computer skills; work with diverse populations; maintain boundaries and confidentiality; model Home Life values.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Service Coordinator; adhere to Home Life policies, rules, and procedures.
• Ensure hours are documented in payroll; submit timecard change forms if needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard information; communicate pertinent information to staff.
• Attend required trainings and complete at least 24 hours of in-service yearly.
• Perform duties per ISP and support plans, assist with daily activities, and advocate for individuals.
