Job summary

Home Life in Corvallis, Oregon seeks a Direct Support Professional – Supported Living Substitute to cover flexible shifts across multiple individuals. You will help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities maintain independence, build skills, and engage with the community.

Requirements include HS diploma or equivalent, ability to pass background checks, and a willingness to train and work varied hours including evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass an initial criminal history check and rechecks
• US citizenship or legal work status in the United States
• Must be 18+ with driving license/insurance and good driving record (if applicable)
• Ability to complete required training and ongoing training
• Regular attendance is essential in this role
• Reading and understanding written and verbal orders in English
• Readiness to work with diverse populations
• Commitment to Home Life values and expectations

Responsibilities

• Report to the Service Coordinator and follow Home Life policies
• Document hours accurately in payroll system
• Maintain respectful boundaries and professionalism with supported individuals
• Understand ISP and safeguard confidentiality and privacy
• Collaborate with staff to provide high-quality services
• Communicate pertinent information to supervisors as needed
• Attend required meetings and trainings
• Complete core competency training and annual in-service hours
• Read relevant Therap and documentation each shift
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned
