Job summary

Serenity, LLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in homes and communities across New Jersey.

Roles include assisting with daily living skills, personal care, and transportation, with duties that promote independence and dignity. Flexible scheduling and paid training accompany a competitive pay rate of $21.50–$26.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Smartphone or computer access for documentation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities.
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.
• Provide safe transportation.
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals.
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.
