Job summary

Serenity, LLC is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in homes and communities across New Jersey.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, transportation, and medication reminders as authorized, while promoting independence and person-centered goals. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required; background checks will be completed.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD is preferred but not required.
• CPR and First Aid training will be provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities.
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.
• Provide safe transportation.
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals.
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.
