Job summary

Serenity, LLC is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities in New Jersey. Flexible schedules include day, evening, and weekend shifts with competitive pay and paid training.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living skills, personal care reminders, safe transportation, and documentation. Equal opportunity employer with emphasis on dignity and self-advocacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• Background checks and screenings required.
• Smartphone or computer for documentation.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently.
• Experience with I/DD preferred but not required.
• CPR and First Aid training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities.
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.
• Provide safe transportation.
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals.
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.
