Job summary

Help at Home is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide one-on-one care to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. Flexible schedules and competitive pay start at $17/hour, with orientation and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, documenting progress, and coordinating with the care team. A background check, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful background check and required training.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance.
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients’ homes and communities.
• Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities at home and in the community.
• Assist with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, personal care, transportation).
• Encourage participation in social and community activities.
• Help individuals set and celebrate personal goals, promoting choice and independence.
• Document care, activities, and progress accurately.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent, quality support.
