Job summary

Doctors Subacute Healthcare + Rehab is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a flexible schedule. You will work under an OT, selecting activities tailored to residents and helping with daily tasks while monitoring progress and teaching equipment use.

Responsibilities include collaboration with the OT to plan rehabilitation, supervising activities, and handling therapy team administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited COTA program
• Current COTA license
• Experience in long-term-care settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the therapy team under the guidance of an OT
• Select therapy activities to fit Residents' needs and capabilities
• Assist Residents in carrying out daily activities
• Monitor Residents' performance in therapy activities, providing encouragement
• Teach Residents how to use equipment to assist with daily function
• Collaborate with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan
• Supervise Residents' activities to ensure they are done properly
• Report Residents' progress to the OT
• Handle administrative and clerical tasks for therapy team
