PureHealth Transitional Care at Texas Health Presbyterian is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver patient-centered OT services under supervision. You will work with inpatients and outpatients, contributing to accurate documentation and outcomes-driven care.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, adherence to regulations, and ongoing professional development in a post-acute setting. Flexible scheduling and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited COTA program.
• One year of COTA experience preferred.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Under OT supervision, assess inpatients and outpatients in relation to diagnosis.
• Provide interventions aligned with the treatment plan and patient needs.
• Document daily charges, progress notes, and reports per department standards.
• Monitor therapeutic benefit and adjust treatment as needed.
• Educate patients and families at appropriate learning levels.
• Coordinate discharge planning and collaborate with the health team.
• Demonstrate unit-specific clinical skills on an annual basis.
• Organize schedules to maintain productivity and inform supervisor promptly.
• Contribute to program development, quality improvement, and budgeting.
• Comply with laws, HIPAA, and corporate policies.
