Job summary

HealthPro Heritage seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a full-time role at our Houston, TX facility. The OT-focused team delivers individualized care and supports activities of daily living for residents.

The COTA collaborates with the OT, nursing and therapy staff to implement treatment plans and monitor progress. The position emphasizes patient education, documentation, and creating a positive, collaborative care environment within a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) from an accredited program.
• NBCOT certification required for practice.
• Current state licensure or eligibility to practice as an OTA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized therapy under supervision, assisting with activities of daily living.
• Monitor patient progress and document changes per facility policy.
• Collaborate with PT/OT, nursing and other teams; educate patients and families on exercises and use of adaptive equipment.
• Lead or assist with therapeutic activities to promote independence and engagement.
