Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. seeks Child Development Specialists to support infants and toddlers in homes, daycare centers, and community settings. You will conduct developmental assessments, follow IFSPs and work with families to reach developmental goals using parent coaching.

Roles involve providing services in natural environments, plus virtual options. Flexible schedules and locations, a paperless workplace, and a sign-on bonus up to $500 are available; competitive pay between $35 and $45

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred/required (for Orange County only) in child development, early childhood, teaching or related field OR a special education teaching credential
• Early Intervention Experience Preferred
• Home-Based Service Delivery Experience Preferred
• Strong Interpersonal Skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment (homes, daycare centers, community settings) and via virtual services
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)
