Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Starbucks Barista at Drake University to deliver friendly, high-quality service while crafting beverages. You will greet guests, prepare coffee and other drinks, and ensure clean workspaces.

The role requires excellent customer service, reliable availability, and adherence to food safety standards. Previous barista experience is a plus, and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Barista certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Prepare beverages including espresso-based drinks to order.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming workstation.
• Educate customers about menu offerings and upsell where appropriate.
• Arrange supplies, manage stock, and assist with setup.
• Operate cash register and handle transactions following procedures.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds when needed.
