Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide 1:1 rehabilitation beyond the clinic in home, community, workplace, and real-life settings. You will help clients reach meaningful goals through activities like cooking, grocery shopping, dining, outdoor tasks, and returning to work.

Expect schedule flexibility, clinical autonomy, and collaboration with a team of expert therapists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted OT license in the practicing state.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Minimum one year’s work experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to neurological conditions.
• Effective verbal and written communication are essential.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; transfers may require up to 100 pounds.
• Duties require standing/walking for extended periods and other physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Regularly reassess progress, attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
• Perform discharge evaluations and recommend home/community safety measures.
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, patient and family.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordinated care and better outcomes.
