Job summary

Marksman Security is hiring for a Flex Security Officer in North Carolina. The role requires open availability across three shifts and pays $19.98 per hour. Responsibilities include welcoming guests, monitoring access, and assisting in security operations to protect property and people.

The ideal candidate has prior security and customer service experience, can stay physically active, and maintain a professional demeanor. Training and ongoing support are provided to grow with the team.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Manage guest/visitor access and log visitor vehicles.
• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles.
• Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of arrival.
• Monitor surveillance and alarms as assigned.
• Patrol interior and exterior areas to identify risks.
• Respond to distress calls and emergencies and contact responders.
• Enforce rules and regulations consistently.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Looking for passionate, skilled professionals to join our team. Must be reasonably physically fit and able to stand and walk for periods of time.

Security Officers, sometimes referred to as Security Guards, deter criminal activity, protect property and enforce rules on a property. Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and do security checks. In factories and offices, Security Officers provide protection for equipment and workers along with checking the credentials of vehicles and individuals coming and going from the premises.

Security Officer Positions:

• Rover: Foot or vehicle patrols, responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior, etc.
• Gatehouse: Greet residents and guests with a friendly demeanor, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, control access to all persons to the property, etc.
• Front Desk: Acknowledge and greet all guests with utmost courtesy and urgency, customer service, access control, greeting residents and guests with a courteous demeanor, monitor CCTV camera systems, announce visitors, distribute packages, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner
• Manage all guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespasser or violators from premises when deemed necessary
• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles
• Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of visitor’s arrival
• Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures
• Monitor and or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behavior
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
• Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
• Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and or in possession of prohibited items
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms and or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
• Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
• Ensures accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
• Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
• Other duties to be determined by management

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• High school degree or equivalent
• Valid state licensing
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able tomultitask and prioritize assigned tasks
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience
• Minimum of one year of security experience
• Prior military, law enforcement is highly preferred, and emergency dispatch exp.
• Must be able to pass pre‑employment screening (background and drug)
• This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running,sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time
