Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional Flex Officer to safeguard clients across multiple industries. You will participate in our shift-pickup platform, building a schedule that fits your availability while gaining site experience in healthcare, education, finance, and more.

Roles may require irregular shifts with little advance notice. This position offers growth opportunities and hands-on experience in security operations across diverse sites.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Background check required under federal, state and local laws.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• No prior experience required.
• Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed, depending on state).
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Operate radio/telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills; problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in emergencies.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and monitor entrances and exits.
• Permit entry and monitor entrances and exits to property.
• Observe departing personnel to protect property and ensure proper removal per client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
