Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer to safeguard clients across industries such as Healthcare, Education, and Finance. You will use our shift-pickup platform to claim shifts based on availability, gaining hands-on site experience across various industries.

You may be called on for irregular shifts with little to no advance notice. Pay is $17.75 per hour, paid weekly, with benefits including medical/dental/vision, retirement plans, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Background check and drug screen may be required by law
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
• Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed)
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
• Effective oral and written communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly, and accurately
• Active listening and problem-solving skills
• Mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy
• Teamwork and reliability

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering or carrying forbidden articles
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure proper client compliance
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs
