Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional Flex Officer to safeguard clients across multiple industries. The role uses a shift-pickup platform to claim open shifts based on availability, offering hands-on site experience and growth across healthcare, education, and finance sectors.

Pay starts at 26.68 USD hourly, with benefits including orientation, medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans. Some shifts may be irregular with short notice, requiring reliability and adaptability.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• As a condition of employment, background investigation will be conducted.
• A drug screen will be required as a condition of employment.
• No prior experience required.
• Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed where required).
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Operate radio/telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Active listening and problem-solving skills.
• Assess and evaluate situations quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department as needed.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and monitor entrances/exits.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor access points.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports; maintain logs as required.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors politely and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications per site Post Orders.
