Job summary

UF Health in Florida is seeking a Flex RN to provide nursing care using the nursing process and professional standards. The role includes acting as charge nurse and possibly serving in an emergency Rapid Response role.

Responsibilities include maintaining accountability for assigned patients and floating to ICU-level units such as PACU and ED-ICU. Requires ADN, with BSN within three years and Florida licensure (BLS/ACLS; PALS required within six months for some roles).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Florida (BLS, ACLS; PALS required within six months for some units).
• 1-2 years of acute care experience and 3-5 years of critical care experience.
• New hires must have a BSN within three years of hire/transfer; grandfathering rules apply for older hires.

Responsibilities

• Maintains overall accountability for assigned patients; may delegate tasks to other staff.
• Floats to ICU/other areas with ICU level patients (PACU, ED-ICU pod, Interventional Radiology, etc.).
