Job summary

UF Health Jacksonville is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ED Flex to deliver nursing care to patients in urgent care or emergency settings following the nursing process and professional standards. The RN will serve as charge nurse when assigned and remains accountable for assigned patients, coordinating with the care team to ensure safety and quality.

Required: Florida RN license or eNLC eligibility with FL licensure within 90 days, BLS/ACLS, and PALS/NRP within six months.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Florida RN license or be eligible under eNLC with Florida licensure within 90 days of residency.
• BSN preferred with commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
• CPR/BLS required; ACLS and PALS/NRP must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to ED/urgent care patients using the nursing process and standards of practice.
• Function as charge nurse when assigned and maintain accountability for assigned patients.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety, quality care, and efficient unit operations.
