Job summary

Interim HealthCare is hiring a Flex Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in the Tri-County area. This modified full-time role operates around 30 hours weekly, with competitive pay and travel between clients. You’ll assist seniors in daily living activities and provide companionship to help them live safely at home.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred.
• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Willing to travel through the Tri-County area (Dorchester, Berkeley, and Charleston counties).
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.

A few must-haves for PCAs/Caregivers:

• Highly flexible schedule, Possible multiple clients daily and willing to travel through the Tri-County area (Dorchester, Berkeley, and Charleston counties)
• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred.
• Validdriver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift 50 lbs.
