Interim HealthCare of Augusta is seeking a Dementia Personal Care Aide/Caregiver to provide compassionate in-home support to seniors in the Tri-County area (Dorchester, Berkeley, Charleston). This Modified Full Time role is approximately 30 hours per week, with base pay around $16.00 per hour and opportunities for scheduling flexibility and incentives.

A few must-haves for PCAs/Caregivers:

• Seeking a flexible individual to cover a variety of shifts within the Tri-County area (Dorchester, Berkeley, and Charleston counties), primarily Monday-Friday
• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred.
• CPR Certified
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Experience with dementia/memory care.

As a PCAs/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.
