Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Flex Night Patrol in Richmond, VA. The role offers 30-40 hours per week with a flexible, self-scheduling program and shifts across Morning, Afternoon, Evening, and Overnight to support diverse client sites.

Pay rate is $19.08 per hour. The position requires a HS diploma, background check, and ability to work varying shifts including holidays and weekends, with occasional travel and a valid driver’s license for driving posts.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Must be able to travel the required distance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property is conducted within client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
