Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Flex to support multiple sites in the Richmond, VA area. The role offers 30-40 hours per week with a flexible, manager-assigned and self-scheduled shift model.

You will perform patrols, observe for security risks, and respond to incidents to ensure client safety. Ideal candidates are 18+, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and have a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Must be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Must be able to travel the required distance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and restricted items.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property and ensure proper removal of items.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site orders.
