Job summary

The Washington Trust Company is seeking a Branch Flex Banker to join our team across multiple branches. You will engage customers, process transactions accurately, and apply bank policies while delivering an exceptional banking experience.

Build relationships, understand customer needs, and promote appropriate products and services to help achieve branch sales goals. Ideal candidates have customer service experience, cash handling skills, and the ability to navigate various banking systems.

Responsibilities

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

• While actively engaging with the customer, process customer transactions accurately
• Understanding and applying bank policies and procedures
• Provide a superior banking experience for the customer through a relationship building approach
• Proactively seek and recommend the best products and services to fit the customer’s needs
• Contribute to the achievement of sales objectives
• Accurately and efficiently process and manage customer transactions
• Understand and navigate various bank systems and equipment (ATMs, cash counting machines, cash recycler)

Qualifications That Make You a Good Fit

• Possessing the initiative to be successful
• Proven experience in a customer service environment, prior banking, or financial services experience a plus
• An understanding of personal finance which includes bank products and services
• Experience handling cash and processing transactions

• Strong interpersonal skills
• The ability to initiate and maintain conversations that result in customer trust and banking relationships

Hours

• Full time 40 hour/week
• Monday-Thursday 7:45AM– 5:00PM, Friday 7:45AM-6:00PM, Saturday 8:00AM-12:15PM
• Saturday availability required, frequency of Saturday scheduling dependent on location.

Compensation: A good‑faith, reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $21.50 - $25.00 per hour and the actual offer will depend on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, and education.

This base salary reflects one component of our competitive compensation package. This position may be eligible for an incentive plan and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
