Job summary

Englewood Schools is seeking a skilled vehicle maintenance technician to service district buses and equipment. You will diagnose and repair gas/diesel engines, drive trains, transmissions, brakes and electrical systems, and manage shop activities including budgeting and inventory. Road testing and warranty tracking are included in duties.

May assist with custodial and grounds tasks when needed. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid CDL Class B with school bus

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL Class B with Passenger & school bus endorsement required.
• Mechanic experience in diesel engines and related systems preferred.
• ASE and safety certifications preferred; training may be obtained after hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair district vehicles and small equipment, including engines, drivetrains, transmissions, brakes, suspension and electrical systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repair effectiveness and safety.
• Manage shop activities: planning, scheduling, budgeting, warranty tracking & parts inventory.
• Assist drivers and may support custodial/grounds tasks as needed.
• Develop community relations and participate in PLCs and required trainings.
