Job summary

OmniSource is seeking a dedicated maintenance technician to service mobile and stationary equipment. Responsibilities include tire changes, brake adjustments, light repairs, and preventative maintenance across truck and trailer fleets.

The role requires maintaining thorough maintenance records, operating a forklift, and driving trucks and trailers as needed. Candidates should be safety-minded, able to lift 50 lbs or more, and comply with OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

Knowledge of truck and trailer maintenance processes.
Experience with preventative/corrective maintenance tasks.
Ability to maintain detailed maintenance documentation.
Familiarity with OSHA safety guidelines and regulatory compliance.
Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance on mobile and stationary equipment according to supervisor directives.
Change tires on trucks and trailers; adjust brakes and fix lights.
Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on trucks and trailers.
Maintain complete and accurate maintenance documentation.
Operate forklift and drive trucks/trailers as needed.
Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards.
Suggest process improvements where applicable.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
