Job summary

OmniSource is seeking a maintenance technician to keep trucks and heavy equipment running efficiently. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and respond to emergency breakdowns while assisting with utilities and equipment installations.

The role requires welding, reading schematics, hydraulic/pneumatic system knowledge, and safe operation of maintenance vehicles. Comply with all safety requirements and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining trucks and heavy equipment.
• Skilled in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Arc welding (stick and MIG) and fabrication skills.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance.
• Capable of performing preventive maintenance and basic repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on trucks and heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and respond to breakdowns.
• Assist with installation of utilities and equipment.
• Perform basic electrical repairs and arc weld as needed.
• Operate maintenance vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to safety requirements.
