Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to join our growing team. You will install and support fleet technology across vehicles, working from our Raleigh, NC area with travel to customer sites.

Ideal candidates have hands-on automotive, electrical, or installation experience and can read wiring diagrams. We offer paid training, career growth, and opportunities to work with industry-leading fleet tech.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Professional communication and customer service.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors.
• Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground.
• Route and secure wiring for clean installations.
• Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
• Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
• Document completed installations with photos, device information, and service notes.
• Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and right-first-time installations.
