Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to join our growing team. You will install and support GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across vehicles and trailers, with opportunities to advance into fleet technology.

Ideal candidates have automotive, electrical, or mechanical backgrounds and a passion for learning. This role offers hands-on training, benefits from day one, and opportunities for ASE/I-CAR certifications as you grow.

Qualifications

Hands-on automotive/electrical/mechanical installation experience.
Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work around vehicles/trailers.

Responsibilities

Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections.
Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations.
Maintain safety, quality, and right-first-time installations.
