Job summary

PepsiCo is hiring for a Fleet Technician in Bakersfield, CA. You will maintain and repair fleet vehicles, diagnosing issues and performing preventive maintenance. You will work alongside experienced mechanics on more complex repairs and coordinate with vendors for parts and outside labor.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing and bending, and may include weekend or off-shift work. CDL is required for returning vehicles to the traffic center.

Qualifications

• You must be at least 21 years old.
• Possibility to work weekends/holidays and off shifts.
• You have a valid Non-DOT Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, diagnosing mechanical issues and performing preventative maintenance.
• Work with experienced mechanics on complex repairs and troubleshooting.
• Return vehicles to traffic center when needed (CDL required).
• Manage parts inventory and bill labor to work orders using provided systems.
• Build relationships with vendors for parts estimates or outside labor.
