Job summary

PepsiCo in Wichita, KS is seeking a fleet mechanic to maintain and repair our light and heavy vehicles and equipment, ensuring brands reach communities safely and on time.

You’ll perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs with some on‑the‑job and classroom training. Valid driver’s license, 21+, ability to lift 50 lbs, and ASE/Brake certifications required.

Qualifications

• 21 years or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Position must be able to lift up to 50lbs (with or without an accommodation).
• Position must be able to reach lift, carry, push and pull (with or without an accommodation).
• Certifications: Brakes, ASE Electrical, ASE Heavy Duty.
• At least 1 year of experience or training in hydraulic and air brake systems, after treatment and emissions repairs, driveline repairs, engine repairs, using diagnostic platforms, and welding.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics (training provided).
• Diagnose equipment and vehicle failures; disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation in vehicle systems (work orders, vehicle records, parts reconciliation, and checklists) while adhering to safety standards.
