Job summary

Sysco Sygma Carolina seeks a Fleet Technician 3 to perform preventative maintenance and inspections on a wide range of vehicles. You will diagnose and repair engine, electrical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, and ensure compliance with safety and DOT rules.

The role requires hands-on expertise, the ability to mentor junior techs, and adherence to high quality standards in a fast-paced fleet shop environment.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical training in heavy vehicle maintenance or equivalent.
• 4–5 years of fleet maintenance experience with trucks and trailers.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to maximize safety and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes and electrical systems.
• Document work orders and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
• Mentor junior technicians and support fleet supervisor when needed.
