Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc in Orlando, Florida seeks a Fleet Technician to assist fleet technicians by learning to perform quality preventive maintenance inspections, diagnose issues, and perform repairs as required to prevent breakdowns on road and reduce downtime. Hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with pay between $25.00 and $30.00 per hour, depending on experience.

You will inspect tractors, trailers, lift gates, and other equipment, document work in SAP, and build hands-on expertise across engines,

Qualifications

• Education and certs required: high school diploma or equivalent; 2-year heavy-duty truck tech training; inspector certifications; ASE certification.
• Experience specified: 1 year with 2-year tech degree or 3 years in fleet maintenance/repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment to maximize safety and reliability.
• Perform maintenance repairs and diagnose malfunctions per manufacturer specs (engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
• Document all work on Work Order (SAP) using standard format.
• Learn and develop proficiency in Sysco computer systems and processes.
