Job summary

Sysco seeks a Fleet Technician in Kansas City, MO to keep tractors, trailers, and related equipment running safely and reliably. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair to manufacturer specs to minimize downtime.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of experience with a 2-year technical degree or 3 years in fleet maintenance; CDL-A is preferred and ASE certification is beneficial to the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year truck technical training required.
• ASE certification preferred for automotive/medium-heavy duty.
• CDL-A preferred; DOT compliance knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications.
• Document work performed in SAP and maintain accurate records.
• Assess roadworthiness and DOT compliance before release.
