Job summary
Sysco Foods in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Fleet Technician to learn and perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on tractors, trailers, and other fleet equipment. You will diagnose issues, complete repairs to manufacturer specifications, and document all work in the SAP system.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Two-year technical training in medium/heavy duty trucks preferred.
- ASE Certification for automotive or medium/heavy duty is a plus.
- Valid driver's license; CDL-A preferred.
- Annual inspector and brake inspector certifications are desirable.
Responsibilities
- Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles to maximize safety and reliability.
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications on engines, transmissions, drive-lines, brakes, and HVAC.
- Document all work on Work Orders (SAP) using the correct format.
- Learn and use Sysco computer programs related to maintenance.
