Job summary

Velocity Truck Rental and Leasing in Fontana, CA is seeking a Fleet Technician-Intermediate to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems on a variety of heavy- and light-duty trucks. You will perform preventive maintenance, service calls, and road tests to ensure high-quality repairs and reliability.

Responsibilities include inspections, component repairs, tire work, and maintaining thorough service records.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or its equivalent required.
Post-Secondary vocational education strongly preferred.
4 years’ experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in a related field.
Must have valid Class B Driver’s License.
Advanced knowledge of Heavy-Duty Electrical systems and diagnostic tools.
CFC 609 Certification required.
Basic welding skills.

Responsibilities

Ddetermine vehicle condition by conducting Preventive Maintenance Inspections and oil changes.
Perform inspections at customer locations with a service truck and maintain readiness.
Provide diagnosis and repairs for vehicle breakdowns via service calls.
Repair, replace, and adjust components across major system areas.
Verify vehicle performance through test drives and adjustments.
Handle tire replacements, rotations, mounting, and dismounting as needed.
Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements and maintain records.
