Job summary

Equipment Depot Inc. in Fontana, CA is seeking a repair technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks and construction equipment at customer sites and in the shop.

You will read work orders, provide repair estimates, document all work on the order, verify repairs with test drives, maintain safety standards, and communicate with customers. A valid driver’s license and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Reads work order and observes the truck in operation to diagnose malfunctions.
• Provides solutions and estimates when appropriate.
• Performs mechanical repairs after inspection and analysis.
• Records repair details on the work order with model/serial numbers and hour readings.
• Obtains customer signature and communicates repair needs or completed work.
• Examines guards, bolts, and safety devices; makes adjustments.
• Lubricates parts and tests repaired trucks for conformance.
• Represents Equipment Depot to customers and maintains professional image.
• Tracks service schedule with operations or service manager.
• Returns paperwork daily and submits time cards by 9:00 a.m.
