Job summary

The City of Fishers is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician II / Auto Mechanic II to maintain and repair a diverse city fleet including vehicles, equipment, and trailers. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and ensure safe operation of all assets, with attention to quality and safety.

Ideal candidates have strong hand-tool experience, own tools, and the ability to work outside normal hours when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CDL within one year with city training.
• Must have own hand tools and be able to drive city vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on City vehicles, equipment, and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair issues; perform welding and metal fabrication.
• Perform road service and field repairs as needed; maintain maintenance records.
