U.S. Xpress seeks a Fleet Tech I at the CHICAGO USX TERMINAL to perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers.

This on-site role runs Monday–Friday from 4pm to 12:30am with a compensation range of $23.03–$25.59 per hour. Required: high school diploma or equivalent, and 1 year of mechanical experience preferred; valid driver’s license and own tools; DOT and brake certifications preferred.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 1 year of mechanical experience preferred.
• Transportation industry experience preferred.
• Computer experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs basic preventative maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers.
• Perform basic or minor repairs and inspections on brakes, tires, wiring etc.
• Check vehicle fluids (transmission oil, windshield wiper, antifreeze).
• Change vehicle tires.
• Grease mechanical parts.
• Maintain a high productivity level and complete most jobs within or close to SRT times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
