Job summary
Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to install and support GPS, telematics, cameras, and sensors across vehicles and trailers. This hands-on role welcomes technicians with automotive, electrical, or fleet backgrounds and emphasizes learning new fleet technology.

Qualifications
- Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience.
- Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and follow technical instructions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
- Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
- Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections.
- Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
- Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
- Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
- Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and right-first-time installations.
