Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across cars, trucks, tractors, and trailers.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone with automotive, mechanical, electrical, fleet, or installation background who wants to learn new technology and grow with a rapidly evolving fleet-tech company.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive repair, electrical, fleet maintenance, or vehicle upfitting.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections.
• Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
• Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
• Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
• Document completed installations with photos, device information, and service notes.
• Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and right-first-time installations.
