Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to install and support GPS, telematics, cameras, and sensors across vehicles and fleets. The role involves hands-on wiring, testing, and mobile installations with a focus on safety and right-first-time quality.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive, electrical, or installation experience required.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow technical instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in mobile environments.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors.
• Work on light-duty vehicles, trucks, tractors, and trailers.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, and trailer connections.
• Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
• Test system functionality and document installations with notes and photos.
• Travel to customer locations for mobile installations and projects.
