Job summary

Ameren Illinois is seeking a Transportation Equipment Repair Technician to diagnose and repair engines, drive trains, electrical, hydraulic and power-operated systems, including welding. You will work on passenger cars, trucks, aerial units, and other powered equipment.

Shift: 2nd Shift, Mon-Thur 3PM-11PM, Fri 11AM-7PM; position includes DOT safety-sensitive functions and eligibility for annual incentive payments, with comprehensive benefits for regular full-time employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an approved Automotive Maintenance program or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in an automotive maintenance facility in a repair technician role.
• Must pass the CAST aptitude test, written automotive mechanic exam.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Class A CDL with Airbrake endorsements.

• Diagnose and repair engines, drive trains, electrical, hydraulic, and special equipment systems.

Job Summary

Performs a variety of activities relating to the repair and maintenance of transportation equipment, including passenger cars, trucks, aerial units and power operated equipment. Duties include diagnosis and repair of engine, drive train, body, chassis, electrical, hydraulic and special equipment systems, and welding. This position includes performance of DOT-covered safety sensitive functions.

Shift

2nd Shift: Mon-Thur 3PM-11PM, Fri 11AM-7PM

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or successful completion of a high school equivalency examination.
• Successful completion of an approved educational program in Automotive Maintenance, or its equivalent.
• Satisfactory performance for two years in an automotive maintenance facility in a repair technician classification, or its equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Class A CDL License with Airbrake endorsements.
• Must pass the Construction Skilled Trades (CAST) aptitude test, written automotive mechanic exam.

Compensation

Hourly Pay: Grade Step BC 164 Step 1 of 1 (Top Step) - 50.03 USD
