Job summary

Ameren Illinois is hiring a Garage Technician in Maryville, IL, to perform a range of repairs on passenger cars, trucks, aerial units and power equipment. You will diagnose, repair and weld various subsystems, with a focus on electrical, hydraulic and drive-train components.

The role runs 2nd shift (2-12pm, Tue–Fri) and requires a high school diploma or GED, an automotive maintenance program or equivalent, and a Class A CDL with Airbrake endorsements.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Completed automotive maintenance program or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in automotive maintenance facility preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain Class A CDL with Airbrake endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engine, drive train, body, chassis, electrical, hydraulic and other systems.
• Perform welding and repair tasks on transportation equipment.
• Operate in safety‑sensitive environment and adhere to DOT requirements.
