Job summary

Ameren Illinois is seeking a Transportation Equipment Repair Technician to diagnose and repair engines, drive trains, electrical, hydraulic and power-operated systems, including welding. You will work on passenger cars, trucks, aerial units, and other powered equipment.

Shift: 2nd Shift, Mon-Thur 3PM-11PM, Fri 11AM-7PM; position includes DOT safety-sensitive functions and eligibility for annual incentive payments, with comprehensive benefits for regular full-time employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an approved Automotive Maintenance program or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in an automotive maintenance facility in a repair technician role.
• Must pass the CAST aptitude test, written automotive mechanic exam.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Class A CDL with Airbrake endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engines, drive trains, electrical, hydraulic, and special equipment systems.
• Repair and maintain passenger cars, trucks, aerial units and power-operated equipment; welding as needed.
