Job summary

POOLCORP is seeking a Fleet Manager to drive the efficiency of the internal fleet at our Covington, LA location. You will manage a team and over 2,600 assets, optimize utilization, and reduce transportation costs while ensuring reliable service to our diversified pool of customers.

You will partner with field locations, analyze capacity, and implement cost-saving strategies through internal and third-party solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience in fleet maintenance management or equivalent.
• Experience with fleet and warehouse equipment procurement.
• Knowledge of relevant software (TMW/Appian, Descartes, Roadnet) and regulatory standards (OSHA/DOT).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the internal fleet ensuring cost-effective operations and asset utilization.
• Collaborate with field locations to meet delivery needs at optimal cost.
• Monitor fleet costs and initiate corrective actions with field management.
• Analyze fleet capacity and recommend reductions or changes in vehicle size/type.
• Lead a team including a Fleet Specialist and 2,600+ assets (MD/HD and LD trucks).
